Dear Valued Customers,

Since the occurrence of accident at Fukushima Dai-Ichi Nuclear Power Station, caused by the Earthquake and Tsunami on 11th March 2011, there have been several inquiries for confirmation about the radioactivity measure of Unisis’ products.

In regards to these requests, we hereby would like to announce that the measured result of radioactivity about our products and water used for cleaning process at our Saitama factory are both confirmed to be at negligible level.

There is still no clear vision about the termination of accident condition at Fukushima.
Upon such circumstances, Unisis is going to perform the following countermeasures;
(1) Independent measurement of radioactivity value for our products and components.
(2) Monitoring of measured value about air and water, announced from autonomies where Unisis and subcontractors are located in.

Projected Radioactivity Measurement Scheme at Unisis


On March 11, Japan was hit by a tremendous earthquake and now is facing serious crises and a succession of related challenges. In this unprecedented tragedy, we are receiving increasingly more international aid and support from all over the world.

We at Unisis received many inquiries about our safety immediately after the disaster, and we are now receiving numerous warm and encouraging messages from our customers overseas, for which we are sincerely grateful.

To confront this catastrophe, we are affixing a special sticker on our packages shipped overseas that bears encouraging messages for the afflicted area, with the slogan, “Ganbare Nibbon!” (Never give up, Japan!). This is part of our effort to raise global awareness and support the people and regions seriously affected by these disasters.

We will continue do our best to offer all of our support so Japan will remain a safe, peaceful, and reliable country.
