It is an atraumatic microneedle that achieves less pain and enables easy needle insertion.

Atraumatic microneedle (Triple tip type) consisting of three very fine needles can achieve constant needle-insertion depth regardless of doctor’s injection skill and it also enables safe needle insertion.

■ Advantage of triple tip type needle

When atraumatic microneedle is viewed from the front, three fine needles are arranged at equal intervals on the circumference. So it is possible to diffuse the injected drug solution over a wide range and reduce the number of punctures. And since all three ultrafine needles are facing outward, the injected drug solution gathers in the cernter once then spreads out. It is possible that drug solution works efficiently so that it is injected stable in a wide range. Also, it enables vertical puncture easily, so it is possible to prevent variations in puncture depth due to doctor’s skill.

■ Reduction of the flow resistance

As atraumatic microneedle consists of three ultrafine needles, the force (flow resistance value) is lower than needle consisting of one ultrafine needle at injecting drug solutions. Even when high viscosity drug solution is injected, it does not cause the clogging, it can cause doctor’s smooth operation and reducing burden on doctors and patient’s QOL improvement.
